Chirurgeon's Point NEEDS YOU! Chirurgeons, chirurgeons in training, and general help volunteers are always appreciated.

To volunteer as a chirurgeon at Gulf Wars you must check in. Please stop by Chirurgeon's Point at five points and show your current CPR/ First Aid (or equivalent) certifications, your current membership card, and a mundane ID. These are required documentation to work as a chirurgeon at this war.

There are several battles and point shifts available to volunteer for.

Due to mundane laws, Chirurgeon's Point will no longer provide any Over the Counter medication such as Tylenol, Asprin, Ibuprophen, ect. Please remember to bring your own.

This year, Chirurgeon's Point will no longer be collecting Medical History forms ( formally called OMG forms). Please if you have a medical condition, please keep a copy of your past medical history, list of current medications, any allergies, and on-site/ off-site contacts with you on your person in case of emergency. Chirurgeon's Point will have forms available to fill out and keep with you. We will no longer be responsible to collect these forms at Chirurgeon's Point.

Monday, Mar. 12, 2012 at 1000 - ASHI CPR/FA Challenge

Monday, Mar. 12, 2012 at 1300 - Chirurgeon 101

Tuesday, Mar. 13, 2012 at 0900 - Red Cross (Adult/Pedi/Infant/AED)  CPR and First Aid

Wednesday, Mar. 14, 2012 at 0900 - ASHI CPR for the Professional (Adult/Pedi/Infant/AED)

Thursday, Mar. 15, 2012 at 0900 - ASHI First Aid

Thursday, Mar. 15, 2012 at 1600 - Chirurgeon 101

Friday, Mar. 16, 2012 at 0900 - Red Cross (Adult/Pedi/Infant/AED)  CPR and First Aid

Please arrive 15 mins early so that we can start class on time.

On Monday, Mar. 12, 2012 at 1800, we will be having a Chirurgeon Meet and Greet. Swing by and meet some of the chirurgeons! This will be a great time to introduce yourself to fellow fleams that you will be working with throughout the week.

NEW THIS YEAR: Freezer Pops! I saw something at Pennsic I wanted to bring to Gulf Wars. A Freezer Pop freezer. We have graciously been donated a box freezer for this purpose. Now we need your help to fill it. These wonderful plastic tubes of sugar, hydration, and cooling will be offered to any and all. Donated boxes of freezer pops will be accepted at chirurgeon's point all week and will be available until we run out.

I want to thank THL Emma de Trees - Kingdom Chirurgeon of Gleann Abhann for being my Deputy War Chirurgeon and Lady Nicole of Starhaven - Kingdom Chirurgeon of Trimaris for being Point Director. For the first time, we have three of the principal kingdoms Chirurgeon officers represented. Kingdoms working together to ensure the safety of all.

I can not express how rewarding it is to volunteer at this War. I am looking forward to spending time with my friends again and building friendships across the kingdom borders.
